Live From Atlanta……..

Well this week is literally flying by. Elvin and I made our departure early Tuesday morning to make our way to Atlanta, the site of the 2009 SCAA conference and the 2009 WBC.

Espressoparts is sponsoring the water delivery system and small wares for the WBC coffee bar. This is set up very similar to how we did the Slow Food Nation Bar last year in San Francisco. Three lovely Victoria Arduino Espreso machines are lined up along with the amazing Marco Uber boiler.

Wednesday morning came early and so did the trouble. First I hadn’t really had time to discuss where all the freight had been shipped and when it wasn’t at the convention center I freaked. Started calling all my Westcoast crew and waking them out of bed in a panic. As it turns out everything was sdelivered to our freinds at Batdorf and Bronson ( Thanks you guys!). After a quick juant with a borrowed car ( Thanks Cindy Chang!) we got our gear and headed back to set up the bar.

Once everything was plumbed up and we were certain everything was working well we out out for dinner and drinks with freinds, but man does moring come early the next day.

Thursday set up was good and a very long day of booth set ups and machine repars. The first day of WBC competition went well, however even though we were in the same room we saw little of the action. Tomorrow will allow for a more relaxing event……
