Families, community members, and baristas gathered for TNTNW at Batdorf and Bronson’s Dancing Goats in Olympia, Washington. The Cafe sits blocks away from the Puget Sound and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect.
Between sign-ups and first pour, we drank Whitewood Cider, enjoyed Italian appetizers from Mercato and thanks to Modbar, had Affogatos outside in the summer sun.
The first round of pours began at 7pm. Spectators were able to watch the judges table through a live stream hosted on the TV above the bar. 32 baristas went head to head and only 3 walked out as winners. Things got a little crazy towards the end, by the third round competitors were pouring into other serving vessels like juicers and cake stands.
